Local Food - Local Chefs

Tourism Kingston is pleased to be participating in the Local Food - Local Chefs initiative to raise awareness of the abundance of regional food products, producers and chefs. 

Together with Downtown Kingston! BIA, the Kingston Public Market Vendors Association, local restaurateurs, retailers and farmers, we're excited to showcase all the culinary treats that Kingston and the region have to offer.  Wine and culinary tourism in Ontario is a growing sector, and with the support of the Ontario Market Investment Fund (OMIF), our local partners have outlined the following objectives for the Local Food - Local Chefs initiative:

• To increase sales of local food at the Kingston Public Market
• To increase the number of downtown restaurants and shops featuring local food
• To build regional market opportunities for the local food industry
• To develop Kingston as an authentic culinary tourism destination
• To increase consumer awareness of local foods
