To put it simply, Chef Steve Silva (pictured right in red), loves to cook. A passion for food and vibrant culinary traditions inspired Chef Silva and his culinary team to create the inventive dishes presented to guests at King Street Sizzle each and every day.

As is the case with many great chefs, Silva was first influenced at home. Cooking alongside his mother and brothers, he learned to combine fresh ingredients in the best Mediterranean tradition to create the classic Portuguese favourites handed down from generations past. With this foundation, Steve continued his education formally in culinary school and then later under the guidance of great chefs with whom he was privileged to apprentice.

Chef Silva loves to "play", mixing and matching the highest quality local ingredients into unexpected combinations that are pleasing to the palate. Chef Silva works with the culinary team at Sizzle to create the flavour driven cuisine for which this popular downtown restaurant has become known for - cuisine that focuses upon the freshest, local ingredients, simply prepared. He is especially inspired to transform traditional recipes into modern classics while ensuring the integrity of the dish is maintained.
