Chef Peter Rae of The Iron Duke doesn't shy away from fire and knives: in fact, they're his two favorite elements of cooking!  Chef Pete worked his way up through the restaurant ranks, from dish washer to chef. A true entertainer by heart, Chef Pete originally took a job in the restaurant business because the flexible hours complimented his music career but quickly realized that he truly belonged in the kitchen.

Chef Pete states that the definition of "pub" is the perfect description of what the Iron Duke is all about- a friendly public meeting place. The restaurant strives to have something for everyone on the menu with a warm welcoming atmosphere.

The Duke's menu has comfort food classics that you would expect to find in any English pub but they don't like to lump themselves into any specific category. The menu is studded with fabulous takes on international cuisine such as Indian and Mexican, inspired by whatever is in season at the time.

Being "green" is something that the Duke takes seriously. They do whatever they can to reduce their environmental impact including composting all their green waste and, of course, using as much local food as possible.
