A graduate of Queen's University in Kingston (BAH '95), Donna Gillespie is an experienced manager who has worked with a variety of large and small organizations in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. Donna's professional and community-based experience reflects over fifteen years of work in the areas of marketing and communications management strategy - incorporating experience in strategic planning, public consultation, stakeholder facilitation, community relations and roles in media relations and contact management, design and implementation of marketing materials.

Prior to joining KEDCO in 2007, Donna worked as a consultant with 8020Info Inc. and was involved in strategic planning, organizational and communications audits and planning, and the development and implementation of marketing materials for clients. She played a key role in a variety of public consultation and research projects involving the City of Kingston, Agnes Etherington Arts Centre, Kincore Holdings Limited, Olympic Spirit (Toronto), Hospice Palliative Care, Downtown Kingston! BIA and Downtown Yonge BIA (Toronto).

Donna has been actively involved with community associations and organizations in Kingston.  As past chair of the Kingston Cultural Initiative and the Kingston Arts Council, she has worked closely with community partners to bring together business and the arts to promote sustainable economic development. She has also served as a board director and volunteer with the Sydenham Ward Tenants & Ratepayers Association, Hospice Kingston and the Modern Fuel Artist Run Centre.
