Nighttime Santa Claus Parade

November 19 - 5:00 p.m.

A wonderful downtown parade for all ages with bright lights to complement the festive atmosphere.  An annual tree-lighting ceremony will take place in Springer Market Square immediately following the parade. www.downtownkingston.ca

New Year's Eve - December 31

Bring your family down to join the City's New Year Eve indoor and outdoor festivities at the K-Rock Centre this year. Celebrations run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. — ending with a fireworks display at nearby Confederation Basin at 9:15 p.m. — and it's all still FREE!   Dress for the occasion to enjoy the wagon rides, hot chocolate, buskers, and the fireworks outside, but come inside to warm up and enjoy all the live entertainment, public skating, face painting and more. www.cityofkingston.ca

Artignite Festival
January 27 - February 12, 2012

More than 40 dance, music, theatre, visual art, film and craft events and dozens with free admission. artignite is a collaboration between Queen's University, the City of Kingston, Downtown Kingston, and many Kingston arts groups and artists.
