There are many great opportunities for students to not only learn a little about history, nature, culture, language and music but also to explore, sail, bike, hike, and burn off a little excess energy... consider some of these options for your young traveller:

Curriculum Link Interactive Camps (CLiC) - CLiC is a spring educational campus experience offered by the Queen´s University Faculty of Education.  This 3-day, 2-night residential program provides grade 6, 7, and 8 students with exciting interactive classes geared to the Ontario elementary curriculum while they experience university life first hand.

Learn English in Kingston!  ESL courses and camps offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to learn the basics of English in beautiful Kingston.  In addition to the small classes led by professional intructors, this all-inclusive program includes field trips around Kingston, seven nights accommodation, three meals a day and a 1000 Islands Cruise.

The Life of a Soldier at Fort Henry National Historic Site - take the children out of the classroom for an 1860´s Canadian History lesson they´ll never forget!  Join one of Fort Henry´s exciting Experiential Learning Programs by immersing your students into a one-hour, half day, full day or overnight program that fits into the Grade 7 & 8 Ontario Curriculum.

Links to the Curriculum - The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority offers a wide range of quality curriculum based environmental education programs.  The programs accommodate various grade levels and are designed to be a springboard for action and understanding.  They also strive to be relevant to learners so that they can connect to the natural world through their head, heart and hands.

Haunted Walk - This 1.5 hour walking tour at dusk is a tried and true favourite for all ages even the skeptics in the group will be thoroughly spooked.  Featuring the hangings at the old courthouse, haunted hotels and hidden burial grounds.
