Elementary School Coaches’ Conference

A coaching conference for Coaches of Elementary School Teams or Elementary School aged athletes will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008. It will be hosted at St.  Lawrence College, Kingston Campus and feature sessions in track and field, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. Cost is only $35 for the full day or $25 for a half day. See attachment for further information or email halligan@sympatico.ca .

Mid-Winter Rugby and Soccer Coaching Conference
Scheduled for February 28, Mar 1, 2009 for Rugby and Soccer. This is this conference’s second year and will again be hosted by the RMC Rugby and Soccer Teams at the Kingston Military Community Athletic Centre on the RMC campus. National and International Coaches and Clinicians will present their sessions over the two days. The full lineup of speakers will be announced in the fall. The  cost  is  $75  and  includes  the  popular  coaches’ social on Saturday evening  and  the  luncheon  at  RMC . See attachment for further details or email halligan@sympatico.ca .

3rd Annual Spring Conference Featuring Keynote Speaker:

MORGAN WOOTTEN, Hall of Fame Coach from Washington, D.C.

Tourism Kingston is pleased to announce the third annual Coaching the Coaches Conference taking place May 1 - May 2, 2009. This popular conference will be highlighted by the legendary coach, Morgan Wootten. It will also feature top clinicians in basketball (Quentin Hillsman, Syracuse University; Dave Wilson, Canadian National Women’s Development Team and Queen’s University; Joe  Wootten, Bishop O’Connell H.S. , Arlington, Virginia), football ( Mike Benevides, B.C. Lions; Kit Cartwright, Winnipeg Blue Bombers; Glen Constantin, Laval Rouge et Or; Gerry McGrath, Concordia Stingers; Pat Sheahan, Queen’s Golden Gaels; and a guest NFL Coach), and volleyball ( Chris Green, Canadian National Team; Kristin Drakich, Toronto Blues; Ryan Clark, Colgate University Red Raiders) . First Limestone Hockey Coaches’ Summit

The brand new Invista Multiplex Icepads will play host to the inaugural Limestone Hockey Coaches’ summit on June 13 and 14, 2009. This conference will provide up to date information to help coaches improve their philosophies and technical coaching skills. The theme is “Planning, Practicing, and Playing the Elite Way for Team Success”. There will be on ice as well as lecture style presentations. The conference will be provide 3 Instructional Periods. The first period will feature coaches from Junior Hockey Teams, the second period will highlight University Coaches from C.I.S. and N.C.A.A. Teams, and the third period will showcase coaches from the Professional (N.H.L., A.H.L., etc) and National Teams. Full details will be released in November, 2008.
