Partnership Program

The Tourism Industry in Kingston generates $250 million dollars into the regional economy every year. Our main focus is to expand the tourism industry by increasing the number of visitors to our area, as well as their length of stay and the amount of dollars they spend.
Get on board - become a tourism partner and capture more of the tourism dollars generated each year. By working together, the tourism partners can reach more potential travelers, create diverse and unique traveling opportunities and be represented by a dedicated sales team during focused trade shows and sales blitzes.
Our 2007 Strategies
- Drive visitor inquiries to our revised and more user-friendly website at www.tourism.kingstoncanada.com
- Enhanced website listing and partner access to update their information as well as a tracking mechanism and additional marketing options
- Visitor Value Program - allows partners to offer value added options to visitors all year long as well as special offers for local events and festivals
- Continue to create cost efficient product to encourage visitors to extend their stays in Kingston and the Kingston region.
- Enhanced marketing efforts in partnership with the Kingston Accommodation Partners (KAP) and the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership (OTMP)
- Gather current and relevant tourism partner statistics to better determine strengths and weaknesses in our market
- Continue to grow the Customer-First Philosophy - through expanded visitor services and tourism ambassadors on the street
- Continue to focus our marketing efforts towards the Greater Toronto and Ottawa markets in all aspects of sales (rubber-tire, group travel and meeting and conference sectors)
- Continue to align ourselves with the “1000 Islands” brand and associated joint-marketing opportunities
